It's my fondest wish that we find more uses for #fediverse and make inventive ways of using the ActivityPub protocol.
I've mentioned the event/calendar idea before. But I'd also like to see a jobs site, with tools specifically designed around that activity.
Maybe like this:

It is then divided into three sections.
The left side says Company, advertise your jobs. Register for an account 5$ per month 100$ a year. Acts like a social media account plus job tools. An arrow from the left side points to three sections:
1. can post a job using a form appears as a post from company@example.com
2. replies from fediverse are applications or questions, company can respond to. [Public or private]
3. The posting is time limited and hides itself after a set time, or if the company has found their worker.
The right side says: Person, looking for work. Follow Sarah to find
work: sarah@example.com this leads off with an arrow on the right:
1. sarah sends friend requests a private link with a short form to say what work they are looking for.
2. then sends private messages when jobs are posted that match the details submitted. e.g. Location, skills, filters situation, contract, full-time etc.
3. Info stored in friendship, unfollowing deletes all.
This personalised feed sent directly to you, is where the main fediverse value is. The other functionality could be done in plenty of ways without social media.
The final section is a Home feed.
